I gave very high rating in part because of the low price of a room compared to other hotels with intown walkable locations. The historic building has thoughtfully renovated rooms with very good bathrooms. Breakfast is modest but expected given the low room price. Besides, I prefer to breakfast at one the excellent bakery coffee shops in town.

The room was clean and very comfy. The central location suited me fine (it's very quiet) and was close to a good bar with fairly good food. The young lady on reception (Emily/Emma?) was great; she was very helpful and we had a chat about her interest in history. The dedicated parking was excellent and I would certainly use this hotel again.

It was a nice historic hotel. The city was pretty and the food at the restaurant was good. Our room was spacious but our bathroom could have used a little more cleaning. Oh and the bathroom had pocket doors which I loved!

convenience to downtown shops and nearby universities. I liked the historical vibe to the building. I’m sure a lot of famous people have been guest at this hotel over the years.
